Advanced Foot and Ankle Center is proud to offer an in-office physical therapist.
Patrick Fallon joined the Advanced Foot and Ankle Center team in January 2016 and has been an integral part of the success of our patient's outcomes. He is highly skilled and specially trained to treat all conditions of the foot and ankle.
Physical therapy is used for many conditions in the foot and ankle including: plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, post operative rehabilitation, tight Achilles tendon, gait training (improvement in the mechanics of walking and running), rehabilitation for sports related injuries, work hardening (improving strength and mechanics for specific manual labor jobs), patients with neurological conditions (such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, drop foot, polio).
Our therapist works directly with your podiatric physicians to develop specialized treatment plans and have constant communication for the optimization of your care. This maximizes therapeutic goals and helps patients understand and observe how physical therapy helps improve their condition, and ultimately leads to better patient results. Therapeutic ultrasound, iontophoresis, electro-stimulation, range of motion exercises, Therapeutic exercises, balance training, manual therapy and Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) are all common treatments used in physical therapy.
IASTM therapy can stimulate muscles and tendons and increase blood flow that may help speed healing. Scar tissue massage may also help reduce pain. Rest assured you are in good hands with the in-house physical therapy department.
