Our Story

Dr. Silvers founded Advanced Foot and Ankle Center more than 15 years ago. After frequently commuting through McKinney en route between Dallas and Oklahoma, Dr. Silvers was captivated by this growing community.

He realized that McKinney was in great need of a well-trained foot and ankle specialist and he has been serving the community ever since. His commitment to serving Collin County has earned him the respect and confidence of the medical community, leading to an overwhelming response. Because of the growing need for specialists in the Prosper community, Dr. Silvers opened the Prosper location nearly four years ago and the practice has been steadily growing in this booming town. In order to provide timely and quality care to the patients of North Texas, Dr. Silvers asked Dr. Hadfield to join the team in 2012 because he shares the same commitment to the community and excellence in the care and treatment of all things foot and ankle.

Both Dr. Silvers and Dr. Hadfield include their patients in decision making for their medical condition. Often times, there are more than one treatment options for most foot and ankle condition. Our team will tailor a treatment plan that best suits your expectations and lifestyle.

Pediatric Foot and Ankle Care

Kids suffer from foot pain often. Pediatric foot and ankle care compromises a good portion of our practice.

Conditions that are seen in children are heel pain, warts, flat feet, congenital deformities, ingrown toenails just to name a few. Both Dr. Silvers and Dr. Hadfield have advanced training in pediatric foot conditions. During Dr. Silvers residency training, he spent two to three weekends a month traveling to Mexico to help out crippled children. During this time, Dr. Silvers operated on some of the most complicated foot and ankle conditions.

Heel Pain and Heel Spurs

One of the most common conditions that our team treats is heel pain. Our approach is to exhaust conservative treatment options first utilizing proven methods.


 
Some of these options include custom orthotics, physical therapy, injections, night splints and walking boots to name a few. We always tailor our treatment of heel pain toward the individual and their complaints and history. Over 95% of our patients that suffer with heel pain obtain substantial relief at our practice without the need for surgery. The remaining 5% often see vast improvement post operatively.
